N HADA Education Foundation scholarships have made a tremendous difference in our workforce development over the last two years with results that our members have felt. This past fall, the foundation broke yet another record, having disbursed over $100,000 in schol- arships to degree-based community college automotive technology programs. Yes, count those zeros because that’s right, we’ve grown these scholarships by that much. The investment into NHADA Education Foundation has certainly increased, but what made this possible is the development of new partnerships. The Exeter Area New Car Dealers Association and the Three Rivers Foundation both made significant financial contributions to automotive technology workforce devel- opment and have partnered with the foundation where our goals are aligned. This has provided a congruent strategy to identify the students most likely to work in industry and stay in industry. We thank them and all of our members who have supported foundation initiatives like the 20 for 20 drive, the big raffle and golf tournament. Yes, the students benefit, but the return on the investment is the career-minded automotive technician who is loyal to our member shops.
