For the two days, instructors attending training for hands-on, real-world learning that applied directly to jobs in the automotive field that their students will need to learn for a career in the auto industry. On day one, they learned about the Honda PACT program that Nashua Community College has to offer. They did hands-on training on Honda and Acura cars for the first half of the day before getting behind the wheel and taking the newest latest and great- est vehicles out on the road. Day two was a surprise; we had a secret speaker present- ing for their morning training, Life Coach Emily Clement. Emily speaks about helping to drown out the noise to experience more joy, goodness, and magic in your health, relationships, finances, and career. She talked about how to control your thermostat in your life and in the classroom. “I thought the life coach was great, and Emily’s energy and style really made it worthwhile,” said Matt McCarthy. After a morning full of learning about their intentions in the classroom, they moved on to the newest state inspection training and ICAR collision repairs. After two days of training, the instructors walked away with 16 hours of experience to bring back to the classroom to share with the future automotive technology students. “When I tell my co-workers that we are going to a two-day training with all the auto instructors in the state, they are blown away and jealous that we have the opportunity to do this. So thank you for always putting on the training and getting us all together. We can be a difficult group to work with, but it does seem that we are all interested in the posi- tive outcomes of our students," said Matt McCarthy.
