I n response to the amount of new technicians entering the automotive field in New Hampshire, Manchester Community College’s Automotive Department has developed a New Hampshire State Inspection Prep Course for Seasoned and Entry-level Technicians to help them successfully pass the mechanics field test and receive their state inspection license. • The prep course is designed to work in conjunction with the Mandatory Inspection overview session. The prep course consists of two 3-hour classes at night from 6-9 p.m. The first night covers an in-depth analysis of the state laws. Technicians will be taught how to properly perform safety inspec- tions as outlined in the Saf-C 3200 Official Inspec- tion Station Rules. Questions will be answered, laws will be clarified. • The second night consists of hands-on training that will include in-depth presentation of procedures such as headlight aimer, dial indicator use, suspen- sion types and dial indicator set-up, brake mea- surement procedures, and a complete hands-on inspection overview. • Manchester Community College provides all tools necessary to complete the course. Upon successful completion of the course students will have a better understanding of the New Hampshire Inspection processes and procedures.
