Hot and humid weather has arrived with a vengeance, and it seems to be getting a little worse every year. These high temperatures, coupled with high dew points, create the potential for heat illnesses that can be very serious, even deadly. They can also sneak up on you, leaving you in bad condition before you even recognize a problem. Because of this, NHADA Loss Prevention has created an online Heat Stress Prevention PowerPoint Training to raise awareness of the dangers posed by extreme heat and how to avoid getting sick in hot weather.
The brief training covers the types of heat illnesses, symptoms and steps to take to stay safe. The training also covers requirements of OSHA’s proposed Heat Stress Standard (which includes employee training).
Due to the serious nature of heat illnesses, NHADA Loss Prevention strongly recommends members take steps to keep employees safe. That includes sharing this important training information. The online training is quick, convenient and includes a short quiz. Contact safety@nhada.com or visit our website to enroll your employees in the Heat-Related Illness Prevention Training.
