NADA Update: Federal Action Repeals EPA EV Mandate

On June 12, President Trump signed legislation into law that repeals the Environmental Protection Agency’s waiver allowing California — and 11 additional states — to implement electric vehicle (EV) sales mandates. The waiver would have required manufacturers to meet increasingly higher percentages of zero-emission vehicle sales, culminating in an 80% EV sales target by 2035.
